Visa Extension Financial Requirements Explained
Financial rules are a common problem in visa extensions.
For family visas, the financial requirement usually means meeting the minimum income threshold (or using savings).
For work visas, it can involve salary requirements. For some other routes, it can involve maintenance funds.
The issue is not always the amount. Often, it’s the evidence.
Examples of financial problems:
- Payslips missing or not matching bank statements
- Employer letters not confirming the right details
- Self-employed evidence incomplete
- Savings not held for long enough
We see people across Lancashire and Greater Manchester caught out when their job changes or hours reduce. The same happens in Liverpool, Cheshire and Yorkshire. Life changes.
The Home Office rules don’t care.
At Parkview Solicitors, we review the financial side early so clients don’t submit weak evidence and risk refusal.
We’re based in Bolton (Greater Manchester), but help clients in the North West and throughout the UK.
