Visa Extension Appeals Process Explained
If a visa extension is refused, you need to act quickly.
Not all extension refusals come with a full right of appeal.
Some allow an appeal. Others may only allow an administrative review.
It depends on the visa type and the reason for refusal.
An appeal usually means challenging the decision at a tribunal. This can take time. Administrative review is different it asks the Home Office to check for caseworker errors.
Before choosing a route, you must understand:
- Why was it refused?
- Was it missing evidence?
- Was it a rule issue?
- Was it a caseworker mistake?
Sometimes a fresh application is the better option. Sometimes an appeal is necessary.
We advise clients across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Yorkshire on the strongest strategy. Not every refusal should be appealed. Some should be corrected and resubmitted.
Quick action matters. Immigration deadlines are strict.
We’re based in Bolton (Greater Manchester), but help clients in the North West and throughout the UK.
