Spouse Visa UK Application Requirements Explained

To apply for a UK spouse visa, you normally need to show:
1) A genuine relationship
Marriage certificate is important, but the Home Office also wants proof you are really living a normal married life (messages, photos, travel history, etc.)
2) Financial requirement
Most applicants must meet the minimum income rules or show savings.
3) Accommodation
You must show you have somewhere suitable to live in England.
4) English language requirement
Usually Trinity A1 for a first spouse visa.
5) Immigration status
The UK partner must be British, settled, or have a qualifying visa status.
