Sponsor Licence Renewal Process Explained UK

Sponsor licences do not last forever.

If you don’t renew on time, you can lose the licence.

And if you lose it, you cannot sponsor workers.

A sponsor licence is normally granted for 4 years.

Before it expires, the business must apply to renew.

Renewal is not just paying a fee.

The Home Office can still check:

  • Are you meeting your sponsor duties?
  • Are your records up to date?
  • Are you reporting changes properly on the SMS system?
  • Are you keeping right to work evidence?

Some employers think, “We’ve had no problems, so renewal will be automatic.” That’s risky thinking. In places like Bolton, Manchester and Burnley, we see businesses leaving renewal too late.

The same happens in Liverpool, Cheshire and Yorkshire too it’s common across England.

Parkview Solicitors supports renewal applications and compliance checks, so you’re not scrambling at the last minute. It’s much easier when it’s planned properly.
