How To Prepare for Trinity English Exams for Immigration

The Trinity English exam is not like school.

That’s the good part.
It’s mostly speaking and listening. You are not writing long essays. You’re having a short conversation with an examiner.

Still, people fail because they panic. Or they don’t know what the examiner will ask.

Here’s the simple way to prepare:

1) Practice basic answers out loud

Things like your job, your family, your daily routine, your home, and what you like doing.
2) Don’t try to use “big English”

Simple English is better. The examiner wants to understand you, not judge your accent.
3) Get used to speaking slowly
If you speak too fast, you make mistakes. Slow is fine.
4) Learn the type of questions for your level

A1 is basic. B1 is more detailed. The questions change.

If you live in Bolton, Manchester or Burnley, you can prepare at home, but it helps to get advice before booking the exam. Especially if you’re applying for a spouse visa or settlement.

Parkview Solicitors can guide you on the correct level and how to avoid wasting time.
