Employer Duties Under Skilled Worker Sponsor Licence
Sponsoring a worker is not like hiring normally. You are taking on extra-legal duties.
Once you have a sponsor licence, you must:
- Check right to work correctly
- Keep proper employee records
- Monitor attendance
- Report changes to the Home Office
- Report if a worker stops coming to work
This is not “optional admin.” These are legal duties under the sponsor system.
Employers also need to make sure the job role matches what was offered.
