ILR Processing Times Explained UK
ILR processing times can vary a lot.
Some people get a decision quickly. Others wait much longer. It depends on:
- The type of ILR route (spouse, Skilled Worker, long residence, etc.)
- Home Office workload
- Whether your case is straightforward
- Whether your documents are complete and easy to check
The frustrating part is you can’t control the Home Office speed. But you can control how clear your application is.
Messy applications often take longer. If the Home Office has to dig through documents, or ask for more evidence, it delays things.
