Immigration Detention and Bail
If you are detained at an immigration removal centre as an illegal immigrant, then your detention must be justified by the Home Office (UKBA).
A failure to lawfully justify detention or a failure to correctly review detention may result in the detention being unlawful. It is possible to apply to the Chief Immigration Officer for temporary release or bail. However, on most occasions it is necessary to apply to the Immigration & Asylum Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal for bail.
We can prepare and represent you at bail hearing anywhere in the country.
This is usually done if an authority abroad has asked you to provide a document that must be legalised.
We can help you get any document legalised for a fixed fee, contact our offices to discuss your requirements. Our work will include:
- Advising you on the relevant requirements, relevant laws and procedures
- Advising you on the relevant documents to be submitted in support of your Bail Application
- Considering the contents of such documents and discussing the same with you
- Advising you on the weaknesses and strengths of your application
- Lodging the Bail Application to the tribunal on your behalf
- Attendance at the hearing
