ILR Financial Requirements Explained UK

The financial requirement for ILR depends on which route you are applying under.

If you are applying through the spouse or partner route, you normally still need to meet the minimum income requirement.

That means providing payslips, bank statements and employer letters, similar to your previous applications.

If you are applying through the Skilled Worker route, your salary must still meet the required threshold under the rules.

For the long residence route, there is no specific minimum income figure like the spouse route. But you still need to show you have been living lawfully and supporting yourself without breaking conditions.

The Home Office checks financial evidence carefully. Payslips must match bank statements. Dates must line up. If your job changed recently, that must be explained clearly.

We see ILR delays across England in Bolton, Manchester, Burnley, Liverpool, Cheshire and Yorkshire because financial evidence was rushed or incomplete.

At Parkview Solicitors, we review the financial side properly before submission. ILR is not the stage to take risks.
