ILR Document Checklist Explained
ILR applications require detailed evidence. The exact documents depend on your visa route, but most cases include:
Identity
- Current passport
- Previous passports (if relevant)
- BRP card
Immigration history
- Copies of previous visas
- Evidence of continuous residence
Financial (if required)
- Payslips
- Bank statements
- Employer letter
English and Life in the UK
- B1 English certificate (if required)
- Life in the UK Test pass certificate
Relationship evidence (for spouse route)
- Proof of living together
- Joint bills
- Tenancy agreement or mortgage statement
Organisation matters. Documents should be clear and consistent. If something changed job, address, employer explain it properly.
